The Winged Turtle is a large metal structure, 16ft tall x 36ft wide x 49ft long that will also be perceived as an architectural element under which walkable spaces are generated.
Made of 20mm thick steel, with an oxidized finish that mixes reddish tones with coppery greens, providing a Mediterranean color palette.
Matherial.
Most of the piece will be made from solid carbon steel with a custom aluminum "TRUSS." The steal will have a patina finish.

The sculpture is made of pure components, not transformed, and all of them are ecologically regenerative. The so-called "green steel" only emits water during its manufacture, generates zero carbon emissions during its production, and retains CO2 inside the material, acting as a carbon trap.
The systems used in assembly and disassembly do not generate a carbon footprint. Therefore, the only trace generated will be that due to transport. To reduce it, the sculpture will be built nearby and the closest available manufacturers to Black Rock City will be used.

Inspired by the environmental awareness project Almas Marinas.
Sea turtles represent wisdom and freedom in the ocean, survivors from the time of the dinosaurs survived catastrophes being the strongest creatures in this world.
Today... they are disappearing because of human beings, for ingesting plastics... ghost nets, not to mention pollution and food shortages... saving these beings is saving ourselves. Almas Marinas is what is needed for this change of awareness and love for the environment to have a positive impact.
